Our Pearls of North Africa collection is hand-crafted by highly skilled artisans of the trade. No two pieces are the same. The material is a heavy, cement type of material, which we chose specifically to give these pieces a rough, earthy feel, in keeping with the style of the early mosques of North Africa.
Due to the nature of this material, bubbles, bumps, pores, small chips, rough/uneven edges, and hairline cracks are normal and meant to contribute to the overall aesthetic of these pieces.
To clean any marks or fine lines/chips/scratches in these pieces, fine sanding is recommended by using 600-grit sanding paper.
